As part of Seri Mutiara Development’s social corporate responsibility and in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, the company hosted a ‘Majlis Berbuka Puasa Amal’ with children and caretakers from Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih Bestari, Kg Melayu Subang, Shah Alam in attendance. The breaking of fast programme was held on June 5, 2018 at Steamboat Empire in Cem In Mall, Cyberjaya.
The programme started with some light refreshments to mark the breaking of fast at 7.20pm, followed by a prayer session (Solat Maghrib) led by Ustaz Mohd Khushairi, representative of Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih Bestari. The children and caretakers were then treated to a sumptuous steamboat buffet dinner with endless choices of seafood items, appetisers, vegetables, drinks and desserts.
The children from the centre reciprocated by spreading some Aidilfitri joy and cheer with their performance at the mall lobby, which included a Malay traditional Silat dance and singing favourite festive tunes alongside the beat of Malay traditional instruments. The management, staff and mall shoppers who were present were delighted to have witnessed the special performance.
At the end of the programme, Mr Ahmad Sazli bin Zulkifli from the hospitality services department represented the company in distributing green packets to the children as well as presented a token of appreciation and contribution by Seri Mutiara Development to Pusat Jagaan Cahaya Kasih Bestari.
